December is finally here, the season of eggnog, tree picking, family gatherings and holiday festivities.  Here are 5 things you should do in Los Angeles to get the holidays started off right:

1. LA Zoo Lights

The LA Zoo lights run from December 1st – January 7th, 2018; closed on select days December 24th and 25th. It is located at 5333 Zoo Dr., LA, CA, 90027. Open daily from 6pm-10pm. This is a remarkable attraction to bring the family too. View real life reindeer and on select days if you are lucky enough, you can catch Santa on the move from December 1-23; from 6-9:30 pm.

2. Candy Cane Lane

Candy Cane Lane  begins its fun on every 2nd Saturday of December running through the 23rd. Enjoy this free event with your family and loved ones. Something that has been going on since 1949. Occasionally vendors and homeowners may be selling hot cocoa and snacks to keep you in the holiday spirit.

3. DTLA Bai Ice Rink

DTLA ice skating rink is located in Pershing Square, in the heart of LA. Open from December 1st- January 15, 2018. Enjoy their ice skating themed events like DJ Thursdays 7-9:30 pm. Arabian nights: Disney’s Aladdin Theme, learn to curl, Sundays December 17 8:30 am-9:30 am and January 14th, 2018 8:30am-9:30 am to name a few.

4. Cirque Du Soleil- Luiza

This Cirque Du Soleil- Luiza show will bring you back to nostalgic parts of Mexico that bring in a sense of sounds, tradition, and modernity. It features breathtaking visuals and word-class acrobatic performers. This show will run on two important elements light and rain. Which in fact per show it will consume 6 thousand liters of water. Wow! Something you must see for yourself. The show begins on December 8th and ends on January 21, 2018. Tickets start from $59-75.

5. Hamilton

Hamilton is one of the most talked about musicals of the year. This musical speaks on the life of American founding father Alexander Hamilton. Bringing in diverse tones of music such as rapping, blues, and jazz that keeps the audience on their toes and mouths in awe mode. Prices range from $280-732. Come bring your family and rap along.
